column: Carolyn's Corner: what this issue's theme means to me by Carolyn Faulkner

Nothing makes me feel more loved, more cared for, more tended to in all those special ways than all the small reminders – in behavior and in atmosphere – that Daddy very carefully cultivates.  Almost more than anything overt that he does – which he certainly does enough of, believe me - the smaller things are tremendously important to this adult little girl.

There is always a diaper bag (Winnie the Pooh) at the ready on his side of the bed, full of all sorts of accoutrement used to see to me on an intimate, loving, babygirl basis whenever Daddy deems it necessary.  Next to that is our blue rectangular duffle bag, that Daddy refers to as the “tending bag”, which has even more nefarious equipment – plugs and lubes and paddles – oh my!
